Can Epididymitis Make You Infertile
From "The Miracle of Forgiveness" by Spencer W. Kimball
If you repent you will all likewise perish.
-Luke 13:3
l E Repentance is the key to forgiveness. Open the door to happiness and peace, and points the way to salvation in the kingdom of God. Unleash the spirit of humility in the soul of man and makes him contrite heart and submissive to the will of God.
"Sin is lawlessness" (1 John 3:4), and according to the eternal law, has set a punishment for that offense. Any normal individual is responsible for the sins he commits, and similarly would be subject to punishment that accompanies the violation of those laws. However, the death of Christ on the cross offers us an exemption from eternal punishment in the majority of sins. He took upon himself the punishment for the sins of the world, with the understanding that those who repent and come to Him will be forgiven their sins and be spared from punishment.
The message of the ages
In such circumstances it is not surprising that a loving God has constantly stressed through his prophets, the call to repentance. It would be interesting if we could have a recording of each of the dispensations of the gospel in order, and hear the prayers of repentance and mandates that have occurred in the course of six millennia. It would be awesome to see the speaker and the tone of his voice, already strong, and pervasive, and soft, 'Ora begging, now calling. Words would be marvelous.
would hear the voice of Jacob in the discharge of the responsibility weighed heavily on him: "We need to teach you the consequences of sin" (2 Nephi 9:48). And from the Areopagus, where ateneos resabidos discussed relative to their many gods, we would hear the words that the apostle Paul denounced their gods and explained their "unknown god", "God, having overlooked the times of ignorance, but now commands all men everywhere to repent "(Acts 17:30).
also would hear the voices of Adam, Noah, Lehi, Alma Abraham, Isaiah and many others all along the lines of a John the Baptist, crying in the desert: "Do ... fruits worthy of repentance" (Matthew 3:8). Prominently would emphasize the voice of Jesus himself, giving priority to this important call, to initiate the dispensation of the meridian of time with these words: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matthew 4:17).
punishment for the unrepentant
The prophetic message has always been the mismo.castigo, with impunity because no one can reject the call of God's law and justice . Therefore the Lord has given the alternative: Repent or perish!
Abinadi make this solemn warning:
But behold, fear and tremble before DiosLporque you have reason to tremble for the Lord does not redeem any of those who rebel against him, and die in their sins; yes, all those who have perished in their sins from the beginning of the world, who have voluntarily rebelled against God and knowing God's commandments, there would note, these are the ones who have no part in the first resurrection (Mosiah 15:26. Emphasis added). In the Holy Scripture testifies plenty of misery and endless suffering that awaits the unrepentant sinner. For example:
And if their works have been bad, will be returned for evil. Therefore, all things shall be restored to their proper order, each thing in its natural form raised mortality into immortality, corruption to incorruption, resurrected to endless happiness to inherit the kingdom of God, or to endless misery to inherit the devil's kingdom, one thing on one side and another on the other (Alma 41:4). Perhaps the best summary the multitude of scriptures that warn of the penalties imposed on the unrepentant is the comparison that the Lord made between such punishment and suffering related to his own sacrifice:
So, I send repent-repent, lest I smite with the rod of my mouth, and my anger and my anger, and your sufferings painful: how sore you know not, yea, how hard to bear you know. For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, lest they suffer if they would repent; But if not repent they must suffer even as I; suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and in the spirit (D & C 19:15-18. Italics added). Civilizations destroyed by sin
One would think that all pleas and warnings that God has given through his prophets in the course of the centuries would lead to a high level general righteousness. Unfortunately such is not the case. According to apparently it is easier to sin man to lead a life of righteousness, therefore, is necessary to make greater efforts to avoid evil and conform our lives to the early lifting of the gospel. This is understandable, since
natural man is an enemy of God, and has been since the fall of Adam, and will be forever and ever, unless he yields to the influence of the Holy Spirit, to divest the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, loving and willing to submit to the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, as a child is subjected to his father (Mosiah 3:19). This natural descent of man, this contempt of God's call to repentance, has caused the destruction of entire civilizations. It is true that in earlier generations, those who followed were just enough to achieve a condition Enoch moved, but only eight people, Noah, his sons and his four wives, were saved later in the great flood, while all others drowned. In degeneration, the Babylonians unrepentant lost his kingdom, and the inhabitants of the nation put their souls in great danger if not repent. They were also destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, cities of the plains. They also had the opportunity to repent, but ignored the warning voices of the prophets who were with them.
Can one ever forget the anguish of the tribes of Israel when they came against foreign nations and stripped their towns and their country, their women raped, blinded the king and took captives to serve as slaves? His temple was desecrated, expropriated their sacred vessels, came to an end their national identity. We read with sad hearts the song of remorse, anguish and loneliness sung by Jewish survivors:
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat and wept when we remembered Zion. upon the willows in its midst we hung our harps. And those who had taken us captive asked us cantásemos, and we had asked us for desolate joy, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing Jehovah's song in a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand dexterity. My tongue cleave to my palate if I do not remember you, if not preferred Jerusalem above my chief joy (Psalm 137:1-6). More yet, when subsequently allowed the exiles to return to his native country, the lesson went unnoticed, evil dominated village life and all the warnings and threats to no avail. The Jews were rejected and crucified their Lord and Master. So the overwhelming weight of the punishment finally came upon them through the Roman legions, which the overwhelmed, destroyed their palaces and killed and dispersed the people.
What we say about the situation of the descendants of Lehi, who seem to quickly forget their sorrows after being relieved of them? Because of their persistence in wickedness, it was necessary to punish them numerous times and eventually were destroyed. We can almost hear the groans of Mormon to mourn for them:
ye fair ones, how could you turn from the ways of the Lord! Oh beautiful, how could ye that reject Jesus / waiting to receive you with open arms! Behold, if you had not done this, you would not have fallen. But behold, you have fallen, and cry your loss (Mormon 6:17-18). One year my wife and I spent a few days in the land of the Maya. We stopped a few days at Chichen Itza and Uxmal, and climb the pyramids and ancient ruins of an ancient civilization. As we ascended by those remaining steps, we crossed in the dark and we watched those dark passages that wide area, not away from me this thought: Why, why are not still build temples and These splendid buildings Maya Indians?
went into some of the small Mayan houses today. They are small houses, in an elliptical shape, its length is twice its width and with dirt floors. They are built with twigs and sticks lined with mud and have thatched roofs in which they use the reeds that grow in the forest that surrounds them on all sides.
Again I asked: Why are today reduced to dust of the earth, when in the distant past had their observatories and studied the heavens? The answer shakes the memory as strong campaign: Because they forgot the purpose of life! They forgot the purpose for 'which he had come to earth and dwelt on earth and led a life on earth. Then came the moment that God could not stand it any longer, and allowed them to be decimated and destroyed.
When we were abroad, the city of Pompeii was one of the interesting things we saw in Italy. In my youth, in my early teens he had read, among the many books of my father, The Last Days of Pompeii. I left intrigued, I read many times. Therefore, when we crossed the border from Italy that day, one of my greatest wishes was to go to Pompeii.
After spending a few days among the ruins of Rome, we travel to Naples, to climb Vesuvius and Pompeii to see. We climbed the mountain in a taxi as far as he could take, and go on foot to the summit. We descended into the crater, and under our feet, three feet away, lay the seething, bubbling mass of lava. We could feel its fiery breath and see its rich color. Vesuvius was still active. Then we remember that in 79 of the Christian era the Lord allowed to "break out" literally and figuratively.
The city of Pompeii, as the come to know from personal observation, it was a worldly city. Politicians, the rich, the social class came from Rome to Pompeii, near the Mediterranean coast. They spent their money and spent their time and wildly luxurious living.
The city of Pompeii has been excavated today. On their roads of stone are the marks of the wheels of the carriages. The roads are below the sidewalks, and we could see where the wheel hubs of carriages had left their footprints in the stones of the street corners. We entered its bakeries where food was prepared, we enter their homes where they lived, enter its theaters and bathrooms. Its brothels and brothel sites were empty and padlocked, and they had signs in Italian: "Only for men." After nineteen centuries dishonest centers remained as testimony to their degradation, and on the walls in these buildings, in colors that were preserved almost two millennia, was represented every vice that man can commit, all abominable sins have accumulated since Cain began their evil ways.
Then I came to understand why it was destroyed Pompeii. The time came that they had to be destroyed. So to erupt, Vesuvius erupted, and the ashes penetrated the sky for miles, millions of tons of ash. Lava ran by. slope of the conical structure, taking his step as found in their path, burning the vineyards, orchards and some of the houses. Destroyed everything that was in his way, and some small towns were completely burned or were covered out of existence.
However, not all fire Pompeii. He did not run in that direction the lava, but dust and ashes that were in the air gradually fell and covered the entire city. The residents were asphyxiated in their homes. Later found their bodies closely with one another in a deadly embrace. There were cats and dogs in the buildings. They found that they died, covered with ashes, so that when the excavation was completed, the houses and household goods were in place. There had been a general fire, but had burned many of the ceilings. Pompeii was destroyed, and I think I know why. It was on account of their iniquity and depravity. I think Pompeii must have found almost the same unfortunate situation that Sodom and Gomorrah much earlier.
modern Sinners are exposed to similar punishment
seems strange that with all these historical examples of people who were destroyed for not repenting of sin, has so many are following a similar course at present, including many in the Americas. However, it has promised the great nations of the Americas that will never fall, if only to serve God. Those in the service of the Lord in these nations are hardly an insignificant number. The Devil Queen, sin abounds in political circles, religious and social. Evil is told well, and good evil is told.
Since the beginning of time, the theme song of those who are wise in the world has been: "Eat, drink and rejoice, for tomorrow we die." A more modern interpretation would be: "You have to give taste." Means fun today, and tomorrow is the fix as you can. We have the pleasure lovers who sit at the table at banquets, drinking his liquor in their homes and clubs who break the moral law. Also There is another class of people dominated by an obsession to accumulate worldly goods, even at the expense of strong spirituality and morality. For such people the Lord directed the parable of the rich fool:
also told them a parable: "The land of a rich man was very productive. And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have nowhere to store my crops? and said, "This will tear down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my grain and my goods and tell my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years, take your ease, eat, drink, be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul, and what you have prepared, whose will? So who makes up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Luke 12:16-21). Some are deceived by the prosperity of the wicked. His argument is that many people acquire their earnings through crime, and who despise the Lord's commandments achieve consistent performance. This misconception highlights the ephemeral. The wicked may appear to succeed temporarily, as happened with those who crucified the Master, but the Parable of the Tares related by Salvador clarifies the situation. Just as the weeds are . mature allows the wicked ... to their final destruction.
Sin brings natural consequences
If there is any reader who imagines the Lord as an angry, cruel God who executes vengeance on the people by not fulfilling their laws, such a person think again. The Lord organized a plan that is natural, a program of cause and effect. It is inconceivable that God feel like to punish their children or see them suffering, pain or distress. He is a God of peace and tranquility, offering joy and growth, happiness and peace. From the mouth of Ezekiel, the Lord asks: "Have I the death of the wicked? Saith the Lord." Not that he should return from his ways? " (Ezekiel 18:23). The Psalmist adds: "Let the wicked fall into their networks a" (Psalm 141:10).
Yes, inevitably causes produce their effects. One can depart from the high-voltage electrical wires, after being told they are dangerous, or you can touch them and suffer the consequences. In like manner, one can learn to obey the laws of God in all will or can be learned through suffering, and this applies to any time, either the year 4,000 a. AD, the year 2,000 a. AD, or at the time of Salvador or in the twentieth century.
Many people find it difficult to accept that they blame for their misfortunes. There must be a scapegoat. If you fall, look around to see who pushed, if they fail, others attributed the failure that hindered or helped them. So if they comes what they call "bad luck" tend to blame the fortune rather than themselves. And finally, is the Lord who is blamed for many of our troubles, and seldom give thanks for what we accomplished.
Two prophets of the Book of Mormon help clarify this. Alma told his son Corianton: "And thus they stand or fall, for behold, they are their own judges, and to do good, and to do evil" (Alma 41:7). And of Mormon we learn that "it is for the wicked that the wicked are punished" (Mormon 4:5).
However, despite his efforts, man can not escape the consequences of sin. These are like night and day. There are times when punishment is slow in coming, but are as safe as life itself; ensuing remorse and agony. Even ignore the law to avoid punishment, but can be mitigated. Through the bragging and "brain washed" can be put aside remorse, but will return to puncture and puncture. You may be drowned in alcohol, or become insensitive provisionally by the sins that remain in a growing number, but finally awaken the conscience and the remorse and anguish come pain and suffering, torment and finally and grief at the high intensity of which the Lord speaks in the passage cited earlier in this chapter. And the longer you ignore the repentance, the more intense the punishment when it is finally revealed.
Alma's words provide us with what is perhaps the best show that we find in Scripture concerning the intense suffering of the sinner.
But I was racked with eternal torment, for my soul was troubled to the limit, and racked with all my sins. Yes, I remember all my sins and iniquities, which I was tormented with the pains of hell, yes, I saw that I had rebelled against my God and had not kept his holy commandments. Yes, and had killed many of their children, or rather, that had led to the destruction, yea, and finally, my sin had been so great that just the thought of coming into the presence of my God did rack my soul with inexpressible horror. Oh if I could be banished and become extinct I thought, body and soul, so do not have to be in the presence of my God to be judged by my works! And for three days and three nights was I racked, even with the pains of a damned soul (Alma 36:12-16). If men only allow their sins disturb early, when they are mild and few, how much distress avoid! Those who have never suffered pain and "gnashing of teeth" by which the sinner has to happen, hardly understand. The Church authorities are many who are beginning to understand the gravity of their mistakes. Seeing some of these mentally twisted and shaken his condition is to understand something of what the Lord meant when he declared that his suffering would be serious and intense. Unfortunately, many offenders continue to cauterize his conscience and in their sins until they get a day of trial.
is also regrettable that the natural consequences of sin are not limited to the offender. One of the most miserable aspects relating to the commission of evil is that seriously affects the lives of those who love the criminal, innocent children, a devoted wife, a husband and elderly parents offended. They all suffer the punishment.
The consequences are inevitable
The person trying to escape reality and avoid punishment, to avoid having to deal with the situation is similar in some ways the fugitive who had committed a serious crime and was in prison, sentenced to life imprisonment. It seemed that he had been very clever in their manipulations, and that only because of some error or reversal of fortune had been apprehended.
During the long, endless hours behind bars laid out the plans for their escape. With a lot of organization and effort produced a small saw with which he worked almost incessantly in the silence of the night until finally sawed one of the gates. He waited until he reached what he considered the right time in the silence of the night to force the gate to the side and slide his body through the opening, and passing through the bars came to mind this thought: "Oh, I'm finally free! " Then he realized that was only one of the interior passages, and still was not free.
walked gingerly down the hallway to the door and hid in the darkness of the corner until the guard came by. With a stroke left him senseless, took his keys and abrió'la door. Breathing fresh air outside, again occurred to him: "I'm Free! I'm very clever. No one can hold back no one can ob; igarme to suffer the sentence. "Upon leaving stealth, noticed that he was still in the courtyard outside the precincts of the prison. He was still imprisoned.
However, had made his plans carefully. He found a rope, threw it on the wall, managed to ensure that the end is, and pulling the rope, climbed to the top of the wall. "I'm finally free, he thought no punishment I have to go. I have enough skill to escape pursuers. "At that moment the lights of the towers on the wall, shots rang out and sounded the alarm. The left fall rapidly on the outside and fled in the dark. Moving away from the prison heard the howling of the hounds, but they lost track because she ran a good distance from a stream. He found a hiding place in the city until their pursuers were written off his trail.
Finally made it to the eastern part of the state, where he hired a farmer to tend sheep. He was in a remote site in the hills. It seemed that nobody had recognized him. Altered his appearance, letting his hair grow and beard. Months passed. At first he reveled in his freedom and was proud of his skill: how had managed to get away from all his pursuers, and now there were no witnesses or accusers, and was free and not have to answer to anyone. However, the months proved to be barren and fruitless, the sheep were monotonous, seemingly endless hours, his dreams could never finish. Came to understand that he could not escape from himself or his accusing conscience. Came to realize that he was not free, and in fact was in chains and servitude, and seemed to have ears to hear what he said, eyes that saw what he did, silent voices that continually were accusing him of what he had done. The freedom which had been delighted had become chains.
this fugitive finally abandoned his flock and went to town and quit his job. Then he found a way back to the city and law enforcement officials and said he was prepared to pay the price in order to feel free.
This man learned what it takes to sin. Many do not realize that price in this life, simply because the payments can be deferred. What effect have if the payments were always "spot"? Comment who gives food for thought, and the author know, repairs at this point:
I am convinced that if every bad thing we did take the price markup, there would be a change in the phenomenal world. That is, if we could see what it is costing every evil act, maybe think twice before committing the act. Unfortunately, often only have a vague idea of \u200b\u200bprice so terrible, or let Satan cover with honey our understanding of the circumstances. But let us pause and examine some of these prices. It is almost certain that if the act could have all the rewards by good deeds, and impose and implement immediately all the punishment for the wrong things, are rarely commit a second evil, but then it would intervene in the precious free will that you have. might add that the category of the person in any way affect the inescapable nature of the consequences of sin. In the Church, the bishop, stake president, the apostle, all are subject to the same laws of right living, and the punishments accompany their sins just as with the other members of the Church. None is exempt from the results of sin, nor with respect to steps that the Church is against the offender, or the effects of sin in the soul.
not die in sin
When we think of the great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and the sufferings he endured for us, we would be very ungrateful if not We would appreciate to where our power would permit. He suffered and died for. We, however, unless we repent, all his anguish and pain for us in vain. In his own words:
For behold, I, God, have suffered these things for all, not to suffer if they repent. But if they do not repent they must suffer even as I; suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit (D & C 19:16-18). Abinadi said the danger of delaying repentance
But remember that anyone who persists in his own carnal nature, and follows the path of sin and rebellion against God, will remain in its dropped, and the devil have all power over him. Therefore, it is as if there was no redemption, and becomes an enemy of God and the devil is the enemy of God (Mosiah 16:5). This only underscores the vital importance of repent in this life, of not dying one in their sins. In an interview with a young man in Mesa, Arizona, I noticed it just a bit of regret for having committed adultery, but was not sure he wanted to purify themselves. After extensive discussion, during which it seemed that I was not doing much in front of her rebellious spirit, I finally said, "Goodbye, Bill, but I warn you do not drive too fast, be careful what you eat and do not risk your life. Beware of traffic, because you should not die before resolving this issue. Do not you dare die. "We quoted this scripture:
Therefore, if they died in the state of evil, should be rejected also with regard to spiritual things that belong to justice, so that must appear before God to be judged according to their deeds ... ... and no unclean thing can enter it [the kingdom of God], so that there must be a filthy place for what is unclean (1 Nephi 15:33,34). A slow death leads to advantages, can occur. A parent who is a victim of cancer, for example, must use their time to be an adviser to those who will survive. The period of inactivity, after a patient comes to know that there is no hope of living, can be a period of high productivity. The more true is this because it is one that has been involved in intentional sin! Must not die until you have reconciled with God. You must be careful not an accident.
How to turn from sin
Perhaps the saddest part is that our sins committed misconduct seriously affects the lives of others. Innocent children, wives, fathers, husbands ofendidostodos they feel the sting of pain. This was what he felt his brother Adam S. Bennion in relation to one of his friends. I heard him tell what happened when I was still very young and has not strayed from my memory all these years. One of his former friends ep was the prison awaiting execution. Bennion's brother visited him, and before leaving asked this question: "What message could I bring you Youth of Zion? "The response was immediate and positive." Tell them, "said the sentenced-to retain their life so full of good works, there is no place for evil."
Fortunately, for most of us there is a way out from under the cloak of sin. A wise and just God has prepared the way by which you can remove the moral deterioration that occurs in humans because of sin. In other words, the Great Physician has given the remedy of repentance with the power to counter the disease of sin.
There is a ship had run aground off the coast of South America, which said a boat captain who was passing by, to share their water with their passengers, because they were suffering from thirst. The ship was passing responded to the signal, saying that would fill their buckets with water which had run aground, because they were at the mouth of the Amazon River and the water was sweet.
The message of the ages to anyone who is stuck in your sins is found in positive territory, and all you have to do is let down his bucket to quench his thirst. The Master is always willing to listen to the call of the person you want to repent, and let it drink from the fountain of life freely.

Alumawood Vs Vinyl Patio
By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve.
Q WOULD LIKE to speak of a universal conflict that may arise occur anytime and anywhere.
I consider an aspect of evil, at least, I know that can have harmful effects that hinder our progress, discourage us, undermine our hopes and we dejanindefensos to other evils of considerable magnitude. I would like to address this issue, because I know of no other recourse but to Satan so clever and skillfully used like this to carry out their evil work, I refer to the dismay that has gripped us, defeated until the point where we think we are incapable of move forward, in short, discouragement and despair.
In addressing this issue, it is not my intention to dismiss the fact that, in fact, there are a number of other things in the world that cause us distress. In life, individually and collectively, as well as local, national and international swarm certainly true threats to our happiness. However, what worries me are the complexities and problems that publish newspapers and radio broadcasts, but those things but do not appear in headlines, are very important in our everyday lives, and therefore, in history of our lives.
By way of introduction, I would like to quote an American writer F. thought Seott Fitzgerald (1896-1940), who said that "conflicts are not necessarily related to the discouraged, since it has its own" bacteria "that cause, which is so different from the conflict itself, such as arthritis is different the stiffness " (The Crack-Up, ed. by Edmund Wilson, New York: James Laughlin , 1945, pg. 77).
all have problems and conflicts, but the "bacteria" of discouragement, using the term expressed by Fitzgerald, not lie in the conflict , but in ourselves, or-more precisocreo lies in Satan, the prince of darkness, the father of lies, and he wants to incubate the bacteria in the soul. Most of the time is a bacterium apparently insignificant, but the problem is that it multiplies, grows and spreads. In fact, it can become almost a habit, or a way of living and thinking, which is when most damage occurs, and then begins to cause increasing devastation in our spirit, consuming more major tasks that we set ourselves religious, ie those relating to faith, hope and charity. We become introverted and return downward gaze, thereby deteriorating, or at least diminishing, those great Christian virtues. We are unhappy and soon make other people unhappy ... Lucifer and rejoices.
As is any kind of bacteria, we should resort to preventive medicine to counteract the progress of the bacteria of despair that is in those things that depress us. Remember the concept expressed by Dante Alighieri in his The Divine Comedy in the Paradise , song 17, which says: "When the arrow is seen coming in advance, the impact that is less strong" (translation).
Moreover, Scripture says, "And angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying out loud ... Prepare, prepare (D and C. 88:92.)
" If ye are prepared ye shall not fear" (D & C 8:30).
Fear part of what I intend to contest this time. We see that the Scriptures teach us that the development or prevention is one of the most powerful weapons we can lay hands to defend ourselves from the disappointment that can lead progressively to defeat. For example, is likely to feel overwhelmed by economic problems, but we must have courage and remember that we are the only ones who face this difficulty. Such problems can be very painful, it is true, but we have an obligation, even to ourselves-to ensure, so that we will not be destructive. Maybe live without some things we need, and we consider in poverty, but we note the following:
" And if the grass of the field is today, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, God clothes, will he not much more to us, men of little faith?" (Matthew 6:30).
Prepare, plan ahead, let us strive, sacrifiquémonos. Let us use our time and money on things that we have value. Aprovisionémonos now calm and inner peace to know esprenden of consciousness that has done the best that has been with what has been taken. If you work hard and prepare ourselves with patience, will be very difficult for us to leave folded. If we work with faith in God, in ourselves and in our future, we will build upon a rock: and when they come wind and rain - as a come-they will not pull us down. Now, if we try all we can and live righteously, and yet we still things are burdensome and difficult, we value. Remember that other people have gone through the same experiences.
unpopular Do we consider ourselves different? Read again the story of Noah and see what was popular in the year 2500 a. JC presents Is life as a way filled with endless obstacles? Read again about Moses. Try to figure out how heavy it must have been the burden of having to deal with Pharaoh, and then the forty years wandering the desert. Some tasks require time. Accept this fact and keep in mind that the scripture says that "everything goes", yes, everything has an end. Some day we will overcome the problems we now mourn, that everything will be back. The lives of others gives us the proof.
"We fear that haunts the rest of us do not like? The Prophet Joseph Smith could talk extensively
thereon. Do we have health problems? Certainly find solace in the fact that a real Job Haggi this church through one of the most exciting and revealing decades of this dispensation. In the last thirty years, President Kimball has known few days free of pain, grief or illness. Is it objectionable wonder if he will not, in a sense, become what is not only despite their health problems but also partly because of them? Do not have to infuse value the sacrifice of this colossus of a man who has braved the disease, defied death and the powers of darkness, and that, given just the strength to go forward, he cried out, and Caleb: "Oh Lord, I have strength yet! Give me this mountain now! ( See "Give me this mountain now," Ensign, January 1980 págs.122-125.)
Are we any Once devoid of talent, unable or lower? "It would help to know something everyone else feel the same, even the prophets of God? At first, Moses tried to resist its appeal, arguing that it lacked eloquence to talk to. Jeremiah was considered a child and was afraid to confront people. What about Enoch? I beg all to remember Enoch for the rest of our days. He was the young man who, when called to perform a seemingly impossible task, said: "How do I find favor in your sight, and am but a lad, and all the people hate me for I am slow of speech?. .. "(Moses 6:31.) But Enoch was a believer, he summoned up courage and, although shaky, followed the path he should follow. Yes, the simple, no talent and less Enoch. And here's what angels came to write of him: "And so great was the faith of Enoch, who led God's people and their enemies came to battle against them, and he spoke the word of the Lord and the earth quaked, and fled the mountains, in accordance with its mandate, and the rivers of water were diverted from their beds, and they heard the roar of lions in the wilderness, and all nations feared greatly, so powerful was the word of Enoch, and So great is the power of the word "God had given him." (Moses 7:13.)
The simple and unable Enoch, whose name is now synonymous with supreme righteousness! Next Once we are tempted to consider us insignificant and useless, remember that these fears have undertaken the most splendid men and women of this kingdom. I repeat what Joshua said to the tribes of Israel to face one of its most difficult tests, "Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you" (Joshua 3:5).
On the other hand, there is naturally a source of despair is more serious than all the others, and poor preparation lies in much more serious nature. It is the opposite of sanctification, is the most destructive kind of discouragement both in this life and eternity. I'm talking to the transgression against God, depression or depression resulting from sin. The critical point in this plane, once we recognize the seriousness of our mistakes, will come to believe we can change, that indeed we can be different. He did not believe it is clearly a ploy to discourage and defeat Satan. Kneel and give thanks to our Heavenly Father because we belong to his church and because we accepted the gospel that promises the fruit of repentance to all those who are willing to pay the price. Repentance is not a word of evil presage, that is, after faith, the term most inspiring Christian vocabulary, it is simply an invitation from the Scriptures to growth, improvement, progress and renewal.
course we can change! If righteousness is our constant, we can certainly become what we want. If there is a regret I can not stand, is weak, pitiful and web excuse: "And what I can do if this is how I am!" If we speak of disappointment, that I discourage me. Uprooted from our thoughts around: "But I'm like that!". I've heard that expression from the lips of many people who wanted to sin and they found a principle of psychology to justify it. And I make it clear that I use the word sin to cover a wide range of habits, some apparently innocent, which, however, bring discouragement, defeat and despair. We can change anything we want, and we can do very quickly. Another satanic deception that is what repentance means a delay of years and years. In repentance, it will take as much as we wait to say, "will change" and say with true intention. Of course there will be problems to solve and make refunds. In fact, we could spend the rest of life, and it would be preferable so be it - proving that our repentance is true by a permanent change. In fact, change, progress, renewal, repentance, in short, can become part of our life in a way so sudden as it was for Alma and the sons of Mosiah. Even when we have to repair serious damage, it is highly unlikely that we deserve the title of "the vilest of sinners" (Mosiah 28:4), which is how these young Mormon describes. However, Alma recounts his own experience in Chapter 36 of the book that bears his name, which reveals that his repentance and radical change was both sudden and startling. Erremos but not on the understanding that: Repentance is not easy, painless, and no, no, it's something comfortable ... is the bitter cup of hell. But Satan that dwells only wants us to think that the necessary temporary discomfort that causes us to recognize our sins is more unpleasant than having to stay there all the time. Only he could say: "You can not change.
never change, as it takes to change a lot and is very difficult. Renounce all efforts to change, surrender. Do not you regret. You are like you , and that's enough. " This, my friends, is a lie that comes from despair. Do not believe it.
We immerse ourselves in Scripture. Here we will described our own experiences in them find spirituality and strength, and advice on solutions to our problems. Nephi said: "The words of Christ will tell you all things what ye do" (2 Nephi 32:3). Pray fervently and we fast with purpose and devotion.
Some difficulties, as some demons, do not go "but prayer and fasting." (See Matthew 17:21.) Serving our neighbors. Paradoxically the admonition, is real: that only by serving others we can save ourselves. Have faith. "Have you stopped the day of miracles? Or have angels ceased to appear unto the children of men? Or has he withheld the power of the Holy Spirit? Or will, during the time, or there is land or in the world has a man to be saved? Behold, I say no, because ... it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men. " (Moroni 7:35, 37.)
Elysee, with a power that only the prophets know, had advised the king of Israel how, where and when Warriors defend Syria. For its part, the Syrian king, troubled by Elisha's prophetic knowledge about their movements, wanted to get rid of the Prophet of Israel, which sent soldiers to arrest him. Here I quote the story of the Scriptures on this issue: "Then sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great army, they came by night and surrounded the city .... and here is the army compassed the city both with horses and chariots. "
course, that itself was enough to discourage anyone's heart, if in place Elisha. This, together with the young man who was his servant, he beheld the spectacle: a prophet and a boy against the world ... and the young man was paralyzed with fear when they saw the enemy everywhere, yes, trouble and worry and despair on all sides, and no way to escape. Wavering faith, the boy said: Ah, sir! What shall we do? "What replied Elysee?" Fear not, because most are those who are with us that those who are with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, "Please, Lord, open his eyes to see. Lord opened the servant's eyes, and looked, and behold the mountain was full of horsemen and chariots of fire all around Elisha. "(2 Kings 6:14-17.)
In the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we help the two sides of the veil, and this must never forget. When disappointment and discouragement overwhelm us ever-and certainly overwhelm us - we must remember and never forget that if our eyes were open, we would see, how far the reach of our eyes, people on horses and chariots of fire that comes with breakneck speed to give us your protection . Yes, the heavenly hosts are always around us, in defense of the seed of Abraham. I Finally, citing the following promise of heaven: "Verily, verily I say unto you, ye children, and still have not understood how great blessings the Father has in his own hands and prepared for you";
And you can not bear all things now, however, be of good cheer, for I will lead. " "I will go before your face. I'll be on your right hand and on your left ... and my angels around you, to bear." "From you are the kingdom and its blessings, and the riches of eternity are yours." (D . & C 78:1718, 84:88, 78:18.)
Oh yes, the site "do God prepared it, look place." And by the way, "sing, yes, out loud, give glory to the Lord and God, and above all the saying: Oh, it's all good!" (Hymns, 214.) In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
