bustle of poetry and poets
In this October, is now a year since I started writing blog entries on this occasion of granting the National Poetry Award 2009 at The Red House, Juan Carlos Mestre ... In this year, the prize was for 'Notebooks 2000-2009', by Jose Maria Millares Sall (1921-2009), a posthumous award to me has been not a few thoughts about literary prizes, the dissemination of poetry and activity (whether public, discrete or almost secret), the authors of this genre.
For those who love poetry, it is incomprehensible to be aware of what is published or meet all poetry events that are scheduled ... And as shown, are some of the proposals that the city of Madrid offers in the coming days. Who says poetry does not matter? Is it true that minority? Why then is so relentless? These questions remain in the air, while the poetic agenda of the week presents us with the dilemma of split in two, three, four ... The desire to be everywhere and opt for only one: in the proposal that each poetic choose as his, for that day and for that hour.
